Safran Executive Committee welcomes Philippe Couteaux

Paris, March 25, 2026 — Effective April 1, 2026, two new members are joining Safran’s Executive Committee:

  • Philippe Couteaux, Chief Strategy and Programs Officer; his department will now be represented on the Executive Committee.
  • Jeremy Dorn, appointed CEO of Safran Cabin, succeeding Jorge Ortega, who is retiring.

Philippe Couteaux began his career in 1987 at Messier-Hispano-Bugatti (now Safran Landing Systems). He joined Snecma in 2000 (now Safran Aircraft Engines) as Head of Testing for Ariane programs, before being appointed Head of Industrial Development for Space Engine activities. In 2003, he was named Vice President, High-Thrust Engine Programs within the Commercial Engines Division. In 2006, Philippe Couteaux joined Turbomeca (now Safran Helicopter Engines) as Vice President, Sales and Programs, and became Executive Vice President for airframer activities in 2008. In 2015, he was appointed Vice President, Support and Services at Safran Nacelles, while also serving as the company’s Vice President, Strategy. In 2017, he became Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing at Safran Aircraft Engines. He was appointed Group Senior Vice President, Strategy and Programs in 2023.

Philippe Couteaux, 63, is a graduate engineer from the Ecole Spéciale de Travaux Publics (ESTP) and the Ecole Supérieure des Techniques Aérospatiales (ESTA).
