Randstad Group to hire 3,000 in aerospace and defense

Randstad Group announces the recruitment of 3,000 professionals in aerospace and defense

Driven by record order books and strategic imperatives, the aerospace and defense sector is facing a critical labor shortage. To support the industry’s ramp-up, Randstad Group is announcing more than 3,000 job opportunities across the country.

Saint-Denis, Tuesday, June 9, 2026 — Ahead of the Paris Air Forum and the Eurosatory trade show, scheduled for June 12 and June 18–19, 2026 respectively, the aerospace, space, and defense industry is preparing to debate major sector challenges. At the heart of discussions are the strategic choices required to preserve national sovereignty. Faced with geopolitical crises and fleet renewal programs, the industry must run its factories at full capacity. However, this unprecedented acceleration is confronted with a major challenge: a shortage of skilled labor.

To meet the urgent needs of industrial companies, Randstad Group is mobilizing by offering more than 3,000 positions nationwide.

More than 3,000 opportunities to join a high-excellence industry

Recruitment needs cover all major industrial regions in France: 700 positions are open in Occitanie, 500 in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, 500 in Île-de-France, 500 in Pays de la Loire, 300 in Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, 300 in PACA, and 200 in Hauts-de-France.

The contracts offered include permanent contracts (CDI), fixed-term contracts (CDD), and temporary assignments. They are open to both experienced professionals and beginners and cover a wide range of qualifications: welders, boilermakers, aeronautical fitters, mechanics, cabin integrators, electricians, quality inspectors, technicians, project managers, and systems engineers.

To support talent development in these strategic professions, Randstad Group is heavily investing in vocational training, with nearly 1,000 people trained in aerospace skills in 2025.

It is arguably the best time to join aerospace and develop cutting-edge skills. The current context offers unique opportunities for talent wishing to join this high-excellence industry,” says Jonathan Periquet, Head of Aerospace, Space and Defense Expert Centers at Randstad France.

Aerospace and defense sector under high pressure

  • An immediate shortage: 9 out of 10 professions are in shortage. The sector is currently lacking nearly 10,000 additional jobs to meet demand.
  • An imminent demographic shock: nearly 30% of industrial workers will retire by 2030. This figure rises to 35% for highly critical roles such as aircraft maintenance.
  • Administrative bottlenecks: security clearance processing times for certain positions can reach 250 days, creating a major hiring bottleneck.
  • The technological and cyber shift: demand for cybersecurity experts is expected to increase by 60% by 2030, while 15,000 positions are already unfilled in France.

The aerospace and defense industry is at the heart of an unprecedented strategic acceleration. Our role as a human resources specialist is twofold: to secure and help build the skills required by this industry, while ensuring that all talents who wish to join can find their place,” concludes Jonathan Periquet.
