FLEXJET CONTINUES ITS INTERNATIONAL EXPANSION WITH THE ACQUISITION OF THE JET BUSINESS
- Flexjet has acquired the London-based business aviation brokerage and advisory firm The Jet Business. This operation will create an integrated global platform dedicated to the sale, acquisition, and advisory services for business aircraft. The founder of The Jet Business, Steve Varsano, joins Flexjet’s leadership team as President in charge of product innovation and international development.
Paris, September 17, 2025 – Flexjet, one of the world’s leading luxury private aviation companies, today announces the acquisition of The Jet Business, a London-based firm specializing in business aviation brokerage and advisory services. This transaction strengthens Flexjet’s capabilities in aircraft sales, acquisition, and advisory services, while bringing together within a single global platform its brokerage entity FXSolutions and The Jet Business. The company will continue to operate under The Jet Business brand while benefiting from the resources, infrastructure, and international reach of the Flexjet ecosystem.
The Jet Business team, based in London, strengthens Flexjet’s European presence, which includes its Mayfair commercial center as well as its operations control center located at Farnborough Airport. It is also on this platform that the new Flexjet private terminal will be inaugurated later this summer, a unique infrastructure in Europe and the group’s largest investment project outside the United States.
This acquisition is part of Flexjet’s international expansion strategy, which, beyond its global fleet of more than 340 next-generation aircraft, continues to invest in infrastructure, training, private terminals, maintenance capabilities, and the continuous improvement of the customer experience in North America, Europe, and other strategic markets. By further integrating aircraft acquisition and disposal activities within its global platform, Flexjet strengthens its strategic control over fleet quality, renewal, and aircraft lifecycle management.
Within its new responsibilities, The Jet Business will support the acquisition of aircraft intended to join the Flexjet fleet as well as the disposal of aircraft reaching the end of their operational life. The company will provide its transactional expertise, advisory capabilities, and market expertise to support the group’s long-term fleet strategy.
Clients of The Jet Business will also benefit from a new offering called Flexjet Solutions, which will provide access to the full range of services offered by the Flexjet ecosystem. This offering will allow aircraft owners and buyers to benefit from comprehensive operational support, pre-purchase inspections, integrated maintenance solutions, Aircraft on Ground (AOG) support services, as well as turnkey aircraft management solutions designed to maximize aircraft availability while reducing operational constraints for owners.
Kenn Ricci, Chairman of Flexjet’s Board of Directors, states: “One of the pillars of our luxury strategy is maintaining one of the youngest and most modern fleets in the industry. To achieve this effectively, it is essential to have advanced capabilities in aircraft resale and fleet transition management. This acquisition strengthens our ability to gradually retire older aircraft while integrating next-generation aircraft for the benefit of our co-owners. By continuously strengthening our control over the strategic links of the business aviation ecosystem, Flexjet continues its ambition to evolve the customer experience and innovate its offerings in order to redefine the standards of private aviation.”
Founder of The Jet Business in 2011, Steve Varsano now joins Flexjet’s leadership as President, tasked with driving product innovation and international development. “I am proud to see The Jet Business enhance Flexjet’s global advisory and analytical capabilities, having established itself as the benchmark in the luxury private aviation segment under the visionary leadership of Kenn Ricci,” he says.
“We share the belief that the most demanding clients in this market are looking for far more than simple aircraft access. They expect trusted, tailor-made solutions, delivered by experts and presented with an uncompromising level of excellence. When I founded The Jet Business, my ambition was to transform the way aircraft were bought and sold. With the rise of social media, this vision evolved into something broader: a brand built on education, mentorship, and trust, embodied by a unique immersive experience in London that redefined the relationship between clients and private aviation.”
He adds: “The opportunity to integrate everything we have built into the world’s leading luxury aviation platform is an exceptional one. I am delighted to take on new responsibilities within Flexjet and to contribute to the development of new international opportunities. Being part of the Flexjet ecosystem opens highly promising prospects to take this vision to a new level in a differentiated and innovative way. We look forward to sharing further announcements in the future.”
Kenn Ricci concludes: “The expertise, market vision, and creativity of Steve Varsano are a major asset for our organization. His contribution will be decisive as we continue to develop our international activities in aircraft sales, acquisition, and advisory services.”
The financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
