Kraków, June 24, 2026 — Space Cargo GmbH today launches ATMOS WORKS sp. z o.o., its company dedicated to space technologies for national security, as a Polish entity headquartered in Kraków. ATMOS WORKS develops and operates dual-use orbital logistics systems as well as systems architectures intended for European clients in the government and defense sectors.
“Kraków provides ATMOS WORKS with a highly competitive technical and R&D talent pool, a strong industrial base, and a strategic location to serve customers in the European defense sector,” said Jarosław Pustul, Managing Director of ATMOS WORKS. “We are building a Polish company that operates according to European standards and addresses the need for security based on technological sovereignty.”
ATMOS WORKS develops and operates in-orbit demonstration and validation capabilities, secure repatriation of materials and sensitive data, as well as the execution of responsive operations under critical time constraints. The company is currently focused on dual-use technologies while establishing the regulatory compliance framework required for its future participation in strategic public procurement markets, particularly in defense and state security–related sectors.
“ATMOS WORKS exists because European customers responsible for security and operational resilience require sovereign access to orbital logistics and payload return capabilities — within European frameworks, under European terms,” said Sebastian Klaus, CEO of ATMOS Space Cargo. “We are creating this company to directly meet that need.”
“Kraków has one of the strongest R&D and engineering environments in Central Europe for space systems and dual-use technologies. The creation of ATMOS WORKS confirms that this base attracts companies capable of meeting European security requirements,” said Prof. Dr. habil. Eng. Tadeusz Uhl, AGH University of Kraków, Faculty of Space Technologies.
ATMOS WORKS builds on the operational experience gained through ATMOS Space Cargo’s transport and return platform, which has proven itself in the context of European institutional missions. The new company leverages this foundation to develop solutions for government programs focused on security and control of space infrastructures.
ATMOS WORKS works exclusively with approved clients, on a request-only basis.
