Orly, April 3, 2026 – Daher announces the award of two new logistics contracts with Safran: the management of a warehouse for Safran Nacelles in Hamburg, and the creation of a platform dedicated to the MRO (Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul) and AOG (Aircraft On Ground) activities of the customer support division of Safran Electronics & Defense in the Île-de-France region. These two assignments, with operational start scheduled for April 2026, are in addition to the long-standing contract with Safran Helicopter Engines in Bordes, Tarnos, and Buchelay, which was renewed and expanded one year ago.
• In Hamburg, a new contract awarded by Safran Nacelles covers nacelle integration logistics near the Airbus A320neo final assembly line. A team of 20 employees will be deployed on site.
• In the Île-de-France region, a 3,000 m² logistics platform in Tremblay-en-France will be dedicated to Safran Electronics & Defense’s MRO activities.
• In Bordes (65), Tarnos (40), and Buchelay (78), the contract with Safran Helicopter Engines involves more than 150 Daher employees. Renewed one year ago, it supports the ramp-up of helicopter production and site modernization.
Safran Nacelles in Hamburg: a mission at the heart of nacelle assembly
Awarded at the end of January 2026, this contract covers logistics for the engine integration site within nacelles for the Airbus A320neo final assembly line in Hamburg. Daher teams (20 people) will handle on-site logistics services: receiving, storage, parts preparation, handling, and shipping. This new production logistics activity strengthens Daher’s overall offering, complementing the transport services already provided by Daher Logistics.
The service, previously handled by another operator, required a personnel integration and transfer phase carried out over two months by Daher Logistics’ German and central teams. This new site further strengthens Daher’s presence in Germany, where the Group already employs 1,100 people in logistics activities, notably supporting Airbus Defence & Space in Bremen and Alstom
Île-de-France: an “MRO and AOG” platform serving Safran Electronics & Defense’s customer support division
The transfer from a site located 1.5 km away was prepared upstream through workshops with Safran Electronics & Defense teams. Awarded following a tender launched in March 2025, proximity to Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport (Roissy CDG), which is essential for AOG emergencies, was a decisive criterion.
The Tremblay-en-France platform will handle more than 3,000 shipments, 1,700 receipts, and 7,500 picking lines each year. The contract, with a duration of three years and two optional years, includes AOG management with on-call service (maximum response time of 3 hours 30 minutes) and the deployment of Daher’s WMS (Warehouse Management System) to ensure traceability and real-time monitoring.
Automation and emergency response: projects conducted jointly with Safran
At the same time, Daher and the logistics divisions of Safran companies are jointly carrying out automation projects: automated guided vehicles (AGVs), automated storage solutions, and advanced control systems.
The Tremblay-en-France contract also marks a milestone in the development of Daher’s AOG Desk offering: a dedicated organization for rapid response to airlines’ spare parts needs. The stakes are directly linked to the satisfaction of Safran Electronics & Defense’s end customers: when an aircraft is grounded, every hour of delay generates significant costs for the operator. With the continuous growth of the global fleet in service, the aeronautical MRO market—over $90 billion today and expected to exceed $150 billion by 2035—is driving increasing demand for spare parts logistics.
“Safran is a strategic partner of the Daher Group. We have been working together for many years with Safran Helicopter Engines, and these new assignments with Safran Nacelles and Safran Electronics & Defense mark an important milestone. We are now present across both industrial activities and spare parts flows, in France and Germany. This is the result of teamwork and a shared commitment to progress together,” said Aymeric Daher, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Daher and CEO of Daher Logistics.
