Textron Aviation expands in-cabin high-speed connectivity by adopting Gogo 5G onboard Cessna Citation business jets

WICHITA, Kansas — Apr 16, 2026 — Textron Aviation Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, today announced the availability of Gogo 5G. This new connectivity upgrade provides aircraft operators with higher data rates, reduced latency, and improved in-cabin Wi-Fi performance. This optimization solution is now offered for the Cessna Citation Longitude, X+, X, Sovereign+, Sovereign, Latitude, XLS Gen2, XLS+, XLS and Excel models, following the issuance of a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Customers can have a new Gogo AVANCE 5G system installed or upgrade their existing AVANCE system to include 5G capabilities at a Textron Aviation Service Center nationwide.

In response to customer feedback, Textron Aviation will soon expand the availability of Gogo 5G service to the Cessna Citation CJ4, CJ3+ and CJ3 models, pending issuance of a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) by the FAA.

Specifically designed for business aviation, the Gogo 5G system enables smooth streaming, video conferencing, cloud applications, and multi-device connectivity inside the cabin. Its advanced dual-band router improves in-cabin Wi-Fi performance, while dynamic data management tools optimize bandwidth to deliver a consistent, high-quality user experience.
