Feb. 8, 2026. The Taiwanese Air Force (ROCAF) plans to acquire 10 C‑130J Super Hercules transport aircraft from the United States to modernize its fleet. This decision follows the cancellation of a costly upgrade program for existing C‑130H aircraft (“Taiwushan III”). The new C‑130Js will be used for the most demanding missions, while some C‑130Hs will remain in service with limited upgrades.
