SIRIUS SPACE ACQUIRES AMM-42 TO ACCELERATE THE INDUSTRIALIZATION OF ITS LAUNCHERS

Nanterre, March 17, 2026 – Sirius Space, a French pioneer in reusable small launchers, announces the acquisition of AMM-42, a precision engineering SME based in Champdieu (Loire), previously owned by the ACI Group. This operation aims to strengthen Sirius Space’s industrial capabilities and accelerate the production of its launcher range.

The acquisition follows the placement of ACI Group and its subsidiaries into judicial recovery, pronounced on September 25, 2025, by the Tribunal of Economic Activities of Lyon. It fits within Sirius Space’s industrial roadmap, whose next major milestone is the inaugural flight of its SIRIUS 1B demonstrator, scheduled for 2027.

Strengthening Industrial Capabilities

Based in Champdieu, in the Loire department, AMM-42 specializes in precision engineering and the machining of complex metal parts for demanding industrial sectors. The company employs 35 staff and has recognized expertise in milling, machining, and assembly of mechanical subassemblies.

This acquisition allows Sirius Space to preserve the site’s industrial skills and integrate them into the production chain of its space program, notably for certain structural components of the launcher.

A Strategy of Industrial Integration

With this acquisition, Sirius Space continues its vertical integration strategy to secure critical industrial know-how for the manufacture of its launcher range.

The site joins Sirius’s industrial park alongside SERM by Sirius, the first integrated industrial company in the group in 2025, dedicated to advanced metal manufacturing. SERM is responsible for manufacturing engines, combustion chambers, and turbopumps using additive manufacturing, while AMM-42 will contribute to the production of mechanical components and structural parts of the launcher.

“Space is an extremely demanding industry. Beyond financing, it is industrial strategy, technological mastery, and production capability that make the difference. The integration of AMM-42 fits fully within this approach,” said Antoine Fourcade, President and Co-founder of Sirius Space. “By strengthening our production capabilities in France, we are equipping ourselves with the means to support the acceleration of the space sector and contribute concretely to European space sovereignty.”

For this operation, Sirius Space was advised on legal matters by the law firm Daylight Avocats

A Space Program in the Qualification Phase

Sirius Space continues the development of its range of reusable launchers for the small satellite market. The company has now progressed in its propulsion development, with an engine currently in the qualification phase and full testing expected in the first half of 2026.

The first flight of the SIRIUS 1B demonstrator is scheduled for the first half of 2027. This ballistic flight will validate the main technological building blocks of the launcher as well as its performance under real conditions.

About Sirius Space Services

Founded in 2020, Sirius Space Services develops launch solutions dedicated to small satellites, with the ambition of making space access more sustainable and strengthening European sovereignty through a competitive commercial launch service. Its range of reusable launchers, composed of SIRIUS-1, SIRIUS-13, and SIRIUS-15, will enable the launch of satellites under 1,100 kg to Low Earth Orbit (Sun-Synchronous Orbit 600 km), through agile, affordable, and environmentally low-impact launch services. Sirius Space Services is a two-time winner of the “mini and micro-launchers” project call within the framework of France 2030.
