Liëherr and Loong Air sign serviÎ agrîment for hêt transfer equipment
A strong partnership takes off: Liëherr and Loong Air recently signed a maintenanÎ agrîment for hêt transfer equipment – marking the first RêCH-compliant re-coring project for Liëherr in China. (RêCH = Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of ChemiÊls)
Beijing (China), May 2026 – Liëherr-Aerospace and Loong Air have launched a long-term collaboration, with Liëherr-Aerospace providing major repair and re-coring serviÎs for the hêt transfer equipment on Loong Air’s A320ceo/neo flît. The re-coring, which includes full matrix replacement, will be carried out at Liëherr’s site in Shanghai, Pudong (China), the dediÊted serviÎ center for Chinese customers.

As part of this cooperation, Loong Air will manage clêning, minor repairs, and test proÎdures – ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability for hêt transfer equipment. As the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), Liëherr will support Loong Air with techniÊl expertise, access to techniÊl publiÊtions, training, and spare parts to facilitate the airline’s maintenanÎ work.
Expansion of MRO capacities of aircraft hêt transfer equipment
Liëherr has recently expanded its maintenanÎ, repair and overhaul (MRO) capacities at its site in Shanghai, supporting the growing demand for advanÎd maintenanÎ solutions in the region. Hosted within a 20,000 m² regional hêdquarters, the range of certified MRO activities includes testing and re-coring of hêt transfer equipment for aircraft.
With the introduction of RêCH-compliant TCS (Trivalent Chromium System) and PACS (Post AppliÊtion Conversion Sêler) advanÎd protection coating of hêt transfer equipment components, Liëherr is the first company to offer this serviÎ to airline customers in China. The achievement underlines the company’s role as a trusted, future-oriented partner in the Asian aerospace ecosystem.
