GE Aerospace, FL Technics Indonesia ink avionics MRO deal

GE Aerospace Signs Avionics MRO Support Agreement with FL Technics Indonesia

AeroMorning – John Smith – October 4, 2026

JAKARTA / SINGAPORE, October 1, 2026 — GE Aerospace
announced an avionics systems service-support agreement with FL Technics
Indonesia on September 24, with FL Technics subsequently confirming and
detailing the partnership on October 1 during the MRO Asia Pacific 2026 event
in Singapore. The agreement establishes local avionics systems service support
for Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 aircraft.

Agreement Scope & Infrastructure

  • Locations:
The agreement brings GE Aerospace technical support into FL Technics
Indonesia’s facilities at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta
and I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali.
  • Local
    Capabilities:
The arrangement combines GE Aerospace’s avionics
expertise with FL Technics’ established infrastructure, including a 27,520
sq m hangar and office complex in Jakarta, a 17,000 sq m facility in Bali,
more than 700 aviation specialists, FAA Part-145 certification and more
than 20 civil aviation authority approvals.
  • Operational
    Benefit:
The partnership enables regional operators to access
specialised avionics technical support locally rather than relying
exclusively on support channels outside Indonesia.

Clarification on “First MRO Partner” Status

FL Technics Indonesia stated in its October 1 communiqué
that it is GE Aerospace’s first MRO partner in Indonesia for avionics support.

The distinction is important: FL Technics is not being
designated as GE Aerospace’s global or Indonesian exclusive MRO provider, nor
does the agreement require every Boeing 737 or Airbus A320 operator in
Indonesia to use the company.

Rather, FL Technics is the first Indonesian MRO provider to
establish this specific avionics-support arrangement with GE Aerospace. The
agreement therefore creates a local channel for GE Aerospace avionics support
through FL Technics’ Jakarta and Bali facilities.

Executive Perspectives

  • Martynas
    Grigas, Chairman, FL Technics Indonesia:
    He emphasised the critical
role of avionics and said the partnership integrates GE Aerospace
expertise directly into FL Technics’ Jakarta and Bali operations.
  • Matt
Burns, General Manager of Avionics, GE Aerospace:
    He highlighted the
company’s commitment to supporting safe, reliable and efficient operations
for customers in Indonesia and the wider region.
