Eviden deploys an advanced satellite communications spectrum monitoring system for the EETT

Eviden has delivered its SkyMon solution to ‘ΗΩΣ’ (‘EOS’), the pioneering satellite monitoring station of the Hellenic Telecommunications and Post Commission (EETT)

Paris, France and Vienna, Austria – February 26, 2026 – Eviden, the product division of Atos Group, a leader in cybersecurity products, mission-critical systems, and AI-augmented video analytics, today announced the deployment of a satellite communications spectrum monitoring system (SEFD) for the Hellenic Telecommunications and Post Commission (EETT), the national regulatory authority responsible for regulating, supervising, and controlling electronic communications and postal services in Greece. Following an open international tender, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund and national resources, EETT selected Eviden’s innovative SkyMon solution to establish a pioneering satellite monitoring station. Named “EOS/ΗΩΣ,” after the deity representing dawn in Greek mythology, EOS is dedicated to monitoring the frequency spectrum used in satellite communications.

As an independent Greek administrative authority, EETT is responsible for issues related to satellite spectrum used by companies and research organizations and is in charge of innovation in electronic communications based on broadband satellite networks.

Eviden’s SkyMon monitoring solution forms the backbone of the project, featuring an advanced radio frequency traffic monitoring system that is fully automated and adapted to all types of geostationary satellites. SkyMon provides fixed and mobile operators with a complete suite of tools to continuously monitor satellite-to-ground station links from a centralized hub, ensuring reliable oversight and efficient management of radio frequency usage.

In collaboration with its partner Edil Hellas SA, Eviden has implemented a fixed monitoring station specifically designed for the frequency spectrum used in satellite communications. The station is equipped with reflector-type antennas, a radio frequency system connecting the antennas to advanced measurement equipment, and a transmitter geolocation system. It also integrates state-of-the-art hardware and software for recording, processing, storing, and visualizing data, a comprehensive monitoring and control platform, as well as an independent power supply for uninterrupted operation.
