Bell Textron Representative Becomes IAQG President

International Aerospace Quality Group Appoints New President

International Aerospace Quality Group Appoints New President

Eric Jefferies, Sr. Manager, Process Integrity & Compliance for Bell Textron, was nominated and accepted the position of President of the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG®) during the group’s 54th General Assembly in San Francisco, California. Comprised of nearly 100 member companies and over 900 member company volunteers, the IAQG is committed to establishing a global commonality of quality systems and improvement standards for the aerospace supply chain.

The IAQG is a legally incorporated international not-for-profit association (INPA) with aerospace industry membership from the Americas, Europe and the Asia Pacific Region. Its processes are established in a set of agreed, documented operational procedures.

In this role, Jefferies will continue to progress the IAQG mission and improve processes employed by the supply chain that consistently deliver high-quality and safe products through global industry collaboration and standardization. Jefferies was the Americas Aerospace Quality Group (AAQG) Sector Lead before accepting the position. As president, Jefferies is head of the IAQG Executive Committee, which manages the global group by establishing and maintaining policies and procedures on behalf of the aerospace industry. His presidential term is for two years with the possibility of remaining in the position for one additional term.

“I am both humbled and excited to serve as the new IAQG President. As I reflect on the IAQG’s tremendous contributions within Aviation, Space, and Defense over the last 25 years, I’m inspired by our collective potential moving forward,” said Jefferies. “It is up to us to lay a foundation that will continue to drive improvements within our industry, and I am confident that together, we can build upon the IAQG legacy of providing tremendous value to its members and stakeholders.”

Jefferies has held a series of roles with increasing responsibility over the past 22 years with Bell Textron. Currently, he leads the team responsible for compliance monitoring at all Bell-owned and managed production and MRO facilities globally. This includes managing all third-party certifications and hosting external audit activities (of numerous types).
