Satys Cabin will be the manufacturer of lavatory assemblies for the D328eco™ regional turboprop from Deutsche Aircraft

Hamburg, May 28, 2024 – German Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Deutsche Aircraft, and Satys Cabin have announced a joint agreement at the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg for the supply of lavatory assemblies for the D328eco. Satys is a fully owned subsidiary of Satys Industries, an industrial holding company, which also owns Satys Aerospace, a leader in the aircraft paint market, and specializes in aircraft cabin outfitting. Located in Blagnac, Roissy and Tianjin (China), the company employs a team of 210 people and is expected to achieve sales of 26 million euros in 2024 (+40% on 2023). Its continuous growth since 2022 is the result of its twofold commitment to competitiveness and guaranteeing the on-time delivery of quality products.

The lavatory assemblies that Satys Cabin will produce for the D328eco will meet the high standards of functionality, reliability and safety required in air transport. Satys’ innovations include touchless options and configurations for passengers with reduced mobility. Satys Cabin is also committed to integrating industrial constraints of Deutsche Aircraft from the design stage to optimize assembly during the cabin-outfitting phase.

The project is headed by CEO and founder of Satys, Christophe Cador. In August 2023, Deutsche Aircraft commissioned Satys Cabin to design and produce the interior fittings for the D328eco. The German OEM has now entrusted Satys Cabin with the production of lavatory facilities for the 40-seater turboprop, which is next generation regional aircraft design for the global market.

The extension of this extension of this partnership confirms the OEM’s confidence and appreciation of its interior supplier.  “We are proud to be associated with the realization of this innovative aircraft, the technical specifications of which attest to Deutsche Aircraft’s determination to reduce the carbon footprint of air transport, emphasizes Antoine Gaugler, General Director of Satys Cabin. This ambition is also a priority for Satys Industries, and one that Satys Cabin strives to implement through the products it designs and produces for its customers”.

Patricia Ferrari, Director Procurement of Deutsche Aircraft, emphasizes the importance of this partnership: “The industry and technical know-how that Satys Cabin brings, along with the lavatory assemblies, will advance the onboard product quality which will serve the D328eco. We look forward to our long-term collaboration with Satys Cabin”.

About Satys Cabin

In a market benefiting from sustained demand, Satys Cabin has recorded strong business growth. Its solid order book is bolstered by the many programs in which it is involved. These include the success of Daher Aerospace’s TBM, and its partnership with Stelia. For the latter, the company is carrying out the initial integration of front-row monuments for the A350 program with Air France and Lufthansa, and for the Boeing 787 with China Airlines, as well as supplying shells for the manufacture of Lufthansa’s business seats. In preparation for the Paris Olympic Games, Satys Cabin is also involved in the retrofit program for Air France’s long-haul fleet.

Through a long-term cooperation with ST Engineering Aerospace, Satys Cabin supplies composite parts kits for the cargo conversion of the Airbus A330 and A320 and is partnering Deutsche Aircraft for the cabin outfitting of its D328eco regional jet, due to go into production in 2025 (see above). Finally, the company is benefiting from a sharp increase in its aftermarket and spare parts business. In this respect, Satys Cabin provides an on-site presence for its long-standing customer Dassault Falcon Service, to support maintenance activities on aircraft in operation.

Satys Cabin’s momentum is driven by an ambitious sales plan. This is supported by several customers’ commitments to low-carbon aviation. The French equipment manufacturer is also diversifying its portfolio of OEM customers (Airbus, Safran Seats, etc.) and airlines in Europe and Asia are showing interest in Satys Cabin’s product offerings, such as seat shells.

Satys Cabin expects a turnover of 36 million euros by 2028. To support its growth, the company plans to expand its industrial capacities with additional investments in floor space and industrial facilities, as well as an increase in its engineering capacity in France and China.
