Osaka (Kansai)-Memanbetsu Route to Open First LCC, A New Bridge Connecting Kansai and Eastern Hokkaido

Peach Aviation Limited (hereafter: Peach, Representative Director & CEO: Takeaki Mori) has today (July 1) launched the first LCC service between Osaka (Kansai) and Memanbetsu. The first flight, MM121, was almost full with 175 passengers on board.
Including the Osaka (Kansai) – Memanbetsu route, the number of domestic flights to / from Kansai International Airport has expanded to 13 routes and the number of domestic flights to /from within Hokkaido has expanded to 10, and the domestic network of Peach has therefore expanded to 33 routes.
CEO Takeaki Mori commented, “Our service between Osaka (Kansai) and Memanbetsu was launched today.
This is the second bridge between Kansai and east Hokkaido after the Kushiro route. Hokkaido possesses a wide range of appealing locations, including not only the natural World Heritage site Shiretoko but also massive sunflower fields about to reach their peak season.
We hope you will take this opportunity to enjoy a round trip around Eastern Hokkaido starting from Memanbetsu Airport in addition to Kushiro Airport, which is already in service.”
Peach plans to resume the Covid-19 Inspection Support Option by Mail in mid-July, which allows passengers to take a test for Covid-19 at home before boarding. Details will be announced as soon as they are finalized.
