FL Technics Indonesia, a company providing aircraft Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) services, has once again achieved milestones in expanding its business portfolio and service capacity in Indonesia.

Following the success of its first MRO hangar at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport (CGK) in December 2016, the company is now ready to drive the growth of the aviation industry ecosystem in Bali, Indonesia.

The construction of this second MRO facility is not only about the business expansion and services of FL Technics but also a tangible contribution to our role in transforming the aviation sector in Indonesia.”

FL Technics Indonesia’s second MRO facility will cover an area of 14,013 m2, designed to provide comprehensive heavy maintenance check services for narrow-body fleets such as Airbus and Boeing. In addition to having a larger hangar capacity, the facility will also be equipped with a training facility, logistics services, and a Bonded Logistics Center (PLB), along with several other essential integrated services.

With the expansion to Bali following success at the main airport, FL Technics Indonesia consistently supports the growth of the rapidly developing domestic aviation sector, especially post-pandemic. “I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport (DPS) holds a strategic position as the second busiest international hub in Indonesia. Furthermore, the presence of our MRO facility, which is a manifestation of the Operational Cooperation between PT Angkasa Pura Properti and FL Technics Indonesia (APP-FLT KSO), will be the first of its kind in Bali. This undoubtedly strengthens our dedication to improving airline service standards in this region,” explained Martynas.

After the scheduled completion of construction in July 2024, FL Technics will prioritize efforts to obtain certification from the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), confirming the company’s services comply with global aviation authority standards.

“The data we have gathered indicates that more than 50% of aircraft repairs are currently carried out abroad. This underscores the significant potential in the aircraft maintenance market and motivates us to continue expanding and enhancing MRO services domestically to continuously support and solidify the growth of the aviation industry in Indonesia,” concluded Martynas.
