Dubai Airshow: “Russian Helicopters” to present a record number of rotorcraft at Dubai Airshow 2021

Russian Helicopters to present a record number of rotorcraft at Dubai Airshow 2021

At the Dubai Airshow 2021, “Russian Helicopters” Holding Company will for the first time demonstrate six full-scale samples of Russian rotorcraft, which to be presented on static display and in flight program of the airshow. Guests and participants will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the light multipurpose helicopters Ka-226T Climber and Ansat, attack helicopters Ka-52 and Mi-28NE, as well as multipurpose heavy Mi-171A2.

One of the main novelties of the Dubai Airshow 2021 will be the international premiere of the Mi-28NE attack helicopter. Never has this “Night Hunter” modification been demonstrated at foreign exhibitions. Another modern Russian attack helicopter Ka-52, which takes part in the Dubai Airshow for the first-time, will pair with it. At the exhibition, Mi-28NE and Ka-52 will demonstrate a rich flight program with elements of complex aerobatics used in real air combat maneuvers. These new generation combat machines are designed to destroy tanks, armored and unarmored vehicles, manpower and enemy helicopters in all weather conditions at any time of the day.

Dubai Airshow 2021 will present another debutant – the modernized light helicopter Ka-226T Climber, which is also demonstrated abroad for the first time. This year it premiered at the MAKS-2021 air show in Moscow. The upgraded Ka-226T, in comparison with the previous models, has improved flight and technical characteristics. Flight speed has been increased, unloaded weight reduced, and the range of operation increased. The Ka-226T Climber is distinguished by its low vibration level, ease and simplicity of operation, ability to take off and land on sites of minimum dimensions and high hover accuracy even when operating with a load on the external suspension. One of the Ka-226T Climber key features is its adaptability for high altitude flights.

Dubai Airshow 2021 is also to become a platform for the heavy multipurpose Mi-171A2 debut in the Middle East – potential customers from the UAE and other countries in the region will have a chance to get acquainted with the helicopter, equipped with a luxury cabin. Aircraft presented at the exhibition will be handed over to the first operator of Mi-171A2 from UAE at the end of the air show. Mi-171A2 helicopter embodied only top qualities of Mi-8/17 type machines, considering modern aircraft-building technologies achievements. Mi-171A2 differs from the previous modifications by more powerful and efficient engines, main rotor with composite blades of improved aerodynamics, X-shaped tail rotor, fundamentally new avionics equipment, as well as an improved automatic control system. Mi-171A2 can be effectively used in high altitude, high humidity, and high-temperature conditions.

The light multi-purpose Ansat helicopter will be presented at the Dubai Airshow 2021 in two versions. The first one is equipped with a medical module and it will take part in flight program of the airshow, demonstrating high flight and technical characteristics that allow maneuver in the limited space, which is especially important when performing sanitary aviation tasks in the conditions of dense urban development. The second modification to be demonstrated at the airshow is a luxury Ansat Aurus, which features a VIP cabin designed in accordance with Aurus brand style. The rotorcraft will be exhibited as a part of a joint exposition of Aurus brand at Dubai Aishow 2021.

Ansat is equipped with two engines and can be used for passenger and VIP transportation, cargo delivery, environmental monitoring and as a sanitary aircraft. Aircraft high altitude tests have been completed, confirming its ability to operate in mountainous terrain at altitudes for up to 3,500 meters. The helicopter can be used in temperatures ranging from -45 to +50 degrees Celsius.
