HARLEYSVILLE, PA (March 8, 2022) – AMETEK PDS is pleased to announce that Derek Lim has been named Division Vice President and Business Unit Manager of AMETEK PDS.   

In his new role, Lim will provide leadership for the entire PDS business, including the Binghamton, NY; Wichita, KS; and Harleysville, PA locations, as well as manufacturing operations in Reynosa, Mexico and engineering support in Bangalore, India.

Lim has over 10 years of experience at AMETEK, most recently as Director of Programs and Customer Service for the PDS business. In this role, he was responsible for leading the Program and Customer Service teams to fully support an extensive range of aerospace and defense customer programs from development throughout the life of the program.

Prior to joining PDS as Program Manager, Lim started his AMETEK career in 2011 as Operations and Manufacturing Engineer Manager with the Newage Testing Instruments business in Feasterville, PA.

Preceding AMETEK, Lim held positions of Process Engineer at Gemalto and Lead Process Engineer / Supervisor at GGB North America.

In addition to work experience, Lim has a Master of Business Administration from Drexel University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University.
