Regarding flight A3 880 from Athens to Moscow, AEGEAN informs that for safety reasons and due to the designation of the wider region as a high-risk area, its operational center requested the return of the aircraft to Athens, prior its entrance to the Russian airspace. The aircraft landed at Athens International Airport at 11:45 local time.

It is noted that AEGEAN has modified its routes and flight planning to Moscow, avoiding Ukrainian airspace, since Monday, 14 February 2022.
