Spatial awarded A330 door trainer contract by Cebu Pacific

News actualites aeromorning

Spatial has been engaged by leading Philippine airline Cebu Pacific Air (PSE: CEB) for the supply, installation and commissioning of an Airbus A330 Door Trainer to be used for training cabin crew on the use and trouble-shooting of the aircraft door. The training equipment will be installed at the Cebu Pacific’s training facility in Manila.

The agreement entails the delivery and full set-up of a Type A door with a variety of door and slide malfunctions, as well as functional flight attendant panel, attendant information panels and interphones, all utilising Spatial’s robust PLC system to minimise maintenance needs.

This device represents the second device Spatial will deliver to Cebu Pacific, having provided an A320 door trainer in 2013.

Henry Robertson, Spatial’s Managing Director, said: “It is always a privilege to provide additional devices to an existing client. This agreement further validates that we are successfully executing our strategy to deliver the highest quality devices alongside strong customer support at a price level representing exceptional value for money.”

Rosita Menchaca, Vice President for Inflight Services, adds: “Since engaging Spatial in 2013, Cebu Pacific has benefitted from its pro-active and best-in-class technical and customer support. Spatial’s training equipment is so versatile and adaptable, that we have been able to apply real-world scenarios to enhance the training of our crew.”
