Russia oil import ban: businesses risks and challenges – intelligence expert available for interviews (Dragonfly security intelligence)

News actualites aeromorning

With the EU proposing a ban on Russian oil imports, many industry sectors are concerned about the risks and challenges during the phase out. Would you be interested in speaking with Cvete Koneska, Head of Advisory at Dragonfly, a specialist security intelligence firm serving the world’s leading organisations, on these issues?

Cvete is available for telephone and video interviews this week and next. She can also provide written comments if preferred.

Some of the topics she will be happy to talk about include:

  • How the ban on Russian oil will affect the transport and shipping sectors. Many companies are already at breaking point after slow growth during the Covid-19 pandemic, and now face having to adapt within the six-month phase out of Russian crude oil.
  • Concerns from other industries dependent on Russian oil, where a transition to alternative energy sources will be protracted and expensive. Automotive, chemicals and processing companies are particularly exposed.
  • Apprehension about how much European governments can intervene to mitigate the impact on their economies with government spending in several countries already at its limit, and many economists forecasting a recession.
  • In the renewables sector, the growing risk of undermining commitments for the transition to green energy, as government and financial sector investments are diverted to altering the oil and gas infrastructure.

Cvete Koneska has more than ten years’ experience in political risk analysis and consulting. Over the past decade, she has worked closely with businesses, investors and governments, helping them operate securely and successfully in complex environments across the globe. Cvete, who holds a DPhil in Politics from Oxford University, combines academic and policy expertise in post-conflict and foreign policy analysis to deliver bespoke risk solutions to businesses.

Cvete has extensive broadcast experience and has appeared in interviews on many UK media outlets, as well as in international media.

Let me know if this is of interest and I will be happy to arrange a call for you.
