Norwegian to launch a new route from Stockholm Arlanda Airport to Sharm el-Sheikh ahead of winter 2025
Norwegian continues to expand at Stockholm Arlanda Airport by launching a new direct route ahead of winter 2025. The popular destination of Sharm el-Sheikh in Egypt will be added to the overall offer by Norwegian from the airport.
Already operating Hurghada, Norwegian is to further expand at Stockholm Arlanda Airport and will add another direct route to Egypt from the airport ahead of winter 2025. Known for its sunny shores, Sharm el-Sheikh is a popular destination for those who seek a warm climate during the winter months.
– Norwegian’s investment in additional direct routes from Stockholm Arlanda Airport is a clear sign of the continued high demand for international travel from the Swedish market. Swedavias mission is to increase connectivity and facilitate for people to meet, whether it is for business, leisure or to visit family and friends, and Norwegians vast network, expansion and commitment to the Swedish market plays an important role in this, says Elizabeth Axtelius, Director Aviation Business at Swedavia.
–We are really excited to launch another direct route to Egypt from Stockholm. The response to Hurghada that we opened last year has been very good, so we believe there is a great interest in discovering more of all that Egypt has to offer. Sharm el-Sheikh is perfect for those who want sun, sea, culture and adventure in one trip, so we look forward to the start of the new route and welcoming travelers on board, says Charlotte Holmbergh, Country Director Corporate Affairs at Norwegian.
Starting on October 27th, 2025, Norwegian will operate Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) – Sharm el-Sheikh Intl. (SSH) once a week, on Mondays.
