LUMINAIR Expands Fleet and Capability with Passenger Pleasing Falcon 900LX
Paris-Le Bourget, September 30, 2025 – German operator LUMINAIR has taken delivery of a brand-new Falcon 900LX, the first of three 900LX aircraft ordered last year.
The management teams of LUMINAIR and Dassault Aviation gathered today at Dassault’s Paris-Le Bourget facility for an official ribbon-cutting ceremony marking the handover.
The factory-new Falcon 900LX, registered D-AJES, features an elegant, contemporary cabin designed to deliver exceptional comfort on long-range flights.
This delivery marks another milestone in LUMINAIR’s rapid fleet expansion. Founders and industry veterans David Bergold (CEO), Alexander Stevens (COO), Julia Müller (CXO), and Algernon Trotter have led the company to become Europe’s fastest-growing private jet operator.
Trotter remarked: “With the acquisition of these aircraft, LUMINAIR will have the youngest and most modern fleet of Falcon 900LX aircraft in the world. We are sure that with our 100% dedicated floating-fleet charter model and our unwavering commitment to our clients on service and reliability, that these aircraft will become a mainstay of Europe’s heavy jet market.”
The new Falcon 900LX joins its sister aircraft, which entered the fleet earlier this month. Two more Falcon 900LX deliveries will complete LUMINAIR’s fleet of Falcon 900LX aircraft.
Selected as the flagship of LUMINAIR’s long-range fleet, the Falcon 900LX combines outstanding performance, efficiency, and operating economics. The latest generation of Dassault’s iconic trijet offers advanced avionics, enhanced soundproofing, and ultra-modern cabin finishes. All four aircraft will feature high-speed KA-band connectivity, which LUMINAIR plans to include in every charter quotation.
Müller was impressed by the aircraft’s performance: “On our recent delivery flight, I was struck by how exceptionally quiet the cabin is. The spacious, refined interior and smooth flight characteristics will resonate with clients. Our experienced cabin team has invested months in fine-tuning onboard service that will be sure to win-over passengers and brokers.”
LUMINAIR’s business model emphasizes high utilization and operational reliability, delivering strong returns for aircraft investors. In its impressive debut-year, the operator accumulated 1,300 flight hours across 192 destinations across its Citation XLS fleet.
Bergold said of LUMINAIR’s operating model: “This is a system we developed and refined over more than a decade of experience. We provide our clients with a reliable, customer-focused and operationally robust experience. Our aircraft lessors receive a strong return on investment on asset purchases. We are delighted to bring these superb aircraft to market to diversify our portfolio and cement our position as Europe’s most dynamic business jet operation.”
