Africa’s premier event dedicated to aeronautics and space innovation is back. The African Aeronautics & Space Innovation Trophy (ASIT), organized by the African Aeronautics & Space Organisation (AASO), will hold its 4th award ceremony on November 6, 2025, at the prestigious Cité de l’Espace in Toulouse, France. This distinguished event will bring together industry leaders, researchers, public institutions, and key stakeholders committed to advancing Africa’s aerospace sector.

Held every two years, the ASIT trophy honors an individual or organization from Africa or the diaspora whose groundbreaking achievements in aerospace science and technology contribute significantly to the continent’s sustainable development. After recognizing Burkina Faso (2019), Nigeria (2021), and Rwanda (2023), the 2025 edition will pay tribute to H.E. Dr. Tidiane Ouattara, President of the African Space Council, in recognition of his outstanding efforts in advancing the African space sector.

This year’s program promises to be both dynamic and insightful. The day will begin with opening addresses from the AASO President and institutional leaders, followed by three key roundtables exploring the current state of Africa’s space sector, women’s involvement in the space industry, and collaborative African space projects. The highlight of the event will be the official presentation of the ASIT 2025 Award to Dr. Ouattara, accompanied by a tour of innovation stands showcasing cutting-edge aerospace solutions from across Africa and beyond.
