Airbus publishes agenda for 2024 Annual General Meeting

Amsterdam, 28 February 2024 – Airbus SE (stock exchange symbol: AIR) has published the agenda for its Annual General Meeting (AGM) taking place on 10 April 2024 in Amsterdam.

Resolutions include the renewal of Chairman René Obermann’s Board Mandate as well as those of fellow non-executive directors Victor Chu, Jean-Pierre Clamadieu and Amparo Moraleda. One resolution proposes the appointment of Dr. Feiyu Xu as a non-executive director, replacing Ralph D. Crosby, Jr., who resigned with effect of the date of the AGM having served on the Board since 2013. Dr. Xu would be appointed for a term of two years, corresponding to the remainder of Mr. Crosby’s mandate.

Dr. Xu is a member of the Supervisory Board of technology company ZF Friedrichshafen AG and a leading expert in the application of artificial intelligence in industry. Thanks to her deep technology knowledge, Dr. Xu will be able to support the Company to strategise the impact of emerging technologies on its business.

Airbus Board mandates are renewed at each AGM in blocks of four for three years, in order to ensure a smooth transition of the Board composition, and that the appropriate skills are retained among the directors. This also avoids large block replacements of directors at any single AGM.

Also on the voting agenda is the proposed payment of a 2023 gross dividend of € 1.80 per share (2022: € 1.80 per share) and a special dividend of € 1.00 per share, as communicated in the Full-Year results disclosure on 15 February.

Documents for the AGM, including the Information Notice with a full agenda, are available online at: https://www.airbus.com/en/investors/annual-general-meetings. The meeting starts at 1.30pm CEST on 10 April 2024.

VOLARE AIRSHOW announces the patronage of the Region Emilia Romagna @ Reggio Emilia Airport
Oct 6 – Oct 7 all-day

Volare International Airshow, the inaugural Italian aviation and aerospace exhibition, announces it will be under the patronage of the Region Emilia Romagna.

Volare International Airshow will connect the global aviation & aerospace industry to Italy by providing manufacturers and suppliers a platform to showcase their products and services to a global audience.

Paolo Rovatti, the President of the Reggio Emilia Airport Company, believes that the Volare Airshow is incredibly fascinating due to its potential to contribute to the development of aviation culture in the region.
“We chose to support the initiative from the start, and we also gave our full commitment to participate in its development. Our main objective is to develop aeronautical companies to create jobs, and hosting an event dedicated to aeronautics inside the arena, both for professionals and enthusiasts and curious people, is an unmissable opportunity. The foundation has been put in place.
“We aim to create a successful event that can become a fixed appointment every year, and we will work hard to make it happen.”

The event will host a mix of business, general, commercial aviation and aerospace exhibitors over a 100,000sqm static area, accommodating more than 100 aircraft.

It will include an extensive conference program featuring keynote speeches, panel discussions, and interactive sessions.

Emilia-Romagna region is the home of Automotive industry sports cars like Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Pagani and motorcycles Ducati.

Emilia-Romagna is considered one of the richest European regions by gross domestic product (GDP) per capita today. These results have been achieved by developing a well-balanced economy comprising Italy’s biggest agricultural sector, a long-standing tradition in automobile, motor and mechanics manufacturing, and a strong banking and insurance industry.

The Italian aeronautical industry ranks fourth in Europe and seventh in the world in terms of size, with leadership positions in civilian helicopters, regional aircraft, and propulsion. The technological skills and know-how of Italian aerospace companies, together with increasingly advanced technological knowledge in production processes, have become growth factors for Italy in the sector. In Italy, there is excellence in the aerospace sector. Italy also has numerous small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) specialized in various segments of aerospace and aviation. These SMEs often form clusters, i.e., geographically concentrated areas where companies, research institutes, and other organizations collaborate and support each other. Research institutes further support Italy’s strong presence in the aerospace and aeronautical sector. The Italian Space Agency (ASI) is crucial in space research and development. It collaborates with international partners on missions and projects, including the European Space Agency (ESA).
