Los Angeles, California — December 1, 2025 — Airhart Aeronautics, the company designing the safest and most intuitive personal-aviation experience, today announced that aerospace and defense executive Nate Thuli has joined the company as President. Based in Los Angeles, Thuli will guide Airhart’s strategy, growth, and operations as the company advances its next-generation avionics platform and lays the foundation for its future clean-sheet aircraft.
Thuli brings more than 15 years of leadership across aerospace, defense modernization, and emerging technology. His career is shaped by two complementary forces: disciplined systems leadership with an entrepreneurial vision to move fast and build what doesn’t exist yet—a combination that aligns with Airhart’s belief that the future of aviation will be defined by modular intelligence, human-first design, and uncompromising safety.
Driving Airhart’s Next Phase of Growth — Avionics Development and Beyond
“Airhart is entering a defining chapter—advancing our avionics platform, expanding our flight-test program, and preparing the path toward our aircraft launch,” said Nikita Ermoshkin, Founder & CTO of Airhart Aeronautics. “Nate understands how to bring complex systems to market. His ability to marry disciplined execution with startup-level momentum is exactly what we need as we scale.”
As President, Thuli will lead operational discipline, strategic partnerships, and market expansion. He will oversee the rollout of Airhart’s pilot-centric avionics suite—engineered to integrate seamlessly across Light Sport (LSA) and MOSAIC aircraft—and shape the long-term roadmap toward full aircraft certification.
A Track Record Across Aerospace, Defense, and Innovation
Before joining Airhart, Thuli served as President & Chief Operating Officer of Alpha Omega Group (AOG), where he led enterprise modernization initiatives for the U.S. Department of Defense and helped translate early-stage innovations into national-security applications. He also founded Nerion, a firm focused on dual-use aerospace technologies and AI-driven defense innovation.
Earlier in his career, Thuli founded HAVA Mug, one of the first consumer technologies to explore intelligent self-heating design. He later served for five years as a Business Mentor at Starburst Aerospace, advising aviation and space startups on growth, fundraising, and early-stage product strategy.
A Foundation in U.S. Air Force Leadership and Major-Program Execution
Earlier in his career, Thuli was a program manager and officer in the United States Air Force, part of major acquisition programs including:
- Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle (EELV) program
- U.S. Nuclear Detonation Detection System (USNDS)
- Multi-year portfolio work across space, launch, and strategic-mission systems
That background—combining lifecycle discipline with mission-focused design—now shapes his point of view on how modern aviation must evolve: with greater simplicity, smarter systems, and an uncompromising focus on both pilots and passengers.
“Airhart is bringing modern thinking to a part of aviation primed for meaningful change,” said Thuli. “It’s the future I want to help build—where flying becomes simpler, safer, and fundamentally more human. Our next-generation avionics are the foundation of that shift, and I’m excited about what we’re delivering to the market.”
Thuli holds a B.S. in Economics from the United States Air Force Academy and an MBA in Innovation Management from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs.
