Air France announces the renewal of its Embraer 190 cabins
Air France continues to upgrade its product and service offering on its short- and medium-haul network. The airline and its regional subsidiary are preparing to renew the cabins of all Embraer 190s operated by HOP!
To design the aircraft’s future seats, Air France is teaming up with Expliseat, French manufacturer of an innovative carbon fiber and titanium seat offering a lightweight, durable design, while enhancing comfort, robustness and functionality. Custom-designed to meet the company’s needs, they will be manufactured and assembled in Angers, France. The entire cabin harmony will also be revamped in Air France colors, from the aircraft’s bulkheads to the carpet on the floor.
The refurbishment of the Embraer 190s will begin at the HOP! maintenance site in Clermont-Ferrand after the summer. The first refurbished aircraft will take to the skies in autumn 2024.
These new-generation seats will continue the high level of comfort offered on board the Airbus A220, the flagship of Air France’s short- and medium-haul fleet. They will be unveiled exclusively from May 28 to 30 at the Aircraft Interiors Expo in Hamburg (Germany), an event bringing together airline professionals around innovations in cabin design.
