Air France partners with the French Basketball Federation to become the official carrier of the French national basketball teams
Air France today unveiled a new partnership with the French national basketball teams and the French Basketball Federation. Under this agreement, the airline will serve as the official carrier of both the men’s and women’s national teams for their international competitions over the next two years.
One year after the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games – of which Air France was an official partner – this new agreement highlights the airline’s commitment to the values of sport and its determination to support French athletes. It is another opportunity to proudly fly the French flag and accompany some the greatest names in the sport, playing for the world’s top teams.
With extensive experience in transporting athletic delegations and their equipment, Air France will once again put its expertise at the service of “Les Bleu(e)s”.
The French national men’s team has already taken off with Air France ahead of the match it will play in Poland on August 28, as part of EuroBasket.

“I am very pleased to welcome Air France as the official carrier of our French national basketball teams. Thanks to the quality of the airline’s services and the professionalism of its staff, I am convinced that our players will be able to travel in the best possible conditions to represent France all around the world,” added Jean-Pierre Hunckler, President of the French Basketball Federation.
A busy calendar of sporting events
This partnership begins at a key moment, just days before the start of the 42nd edition of EuroBasket – the Men’s European Basketball Championship – which will be held in Latvia, Cyprus, Finland, and Poland from August 27 to September 14, 2025.
For the French women’s national team, the next international milestone will be the Basketball World Cup, taking place in Germany from September 4 to 13, 2026.
Exclusive sports content available on board
