Air Cargo Is Key to Supply Chain Resilience. Also: An Interesting New Career Opportunity

Welcome back! Ready to talk cargo? With 1,864 delegates from 88 countries, including 561 airline representatives, this year’s World Cargo Symposium in Dubai was a powerful reminder of the strength and resilience of the global cargo community. Thank you to Emirates SkyCargo and dnata for helping host an event that truly dug into the challenges, successes, and future of air cargo. Let’s get to it.

During the World Cargo Symposium, IATA emphasized the vital role of air cargo in maintaining global supply chain resilience and called on governments and industry to remain focused on delivering the fundamental expectations of customers—safety and security, digitalization and sustainability.

Priorities include:

  • Safety: Zero tolerance for rogue shippers
  • Security: The need for coordinated, risk-based measures
  • Digitalization: Accelerating industry-wide adoption of ONE Record
  • Sustainability: Strong SAF support is needed
