Turkish Airlines announced via the KAP disclosure platform on 7 August 2025 that it had submitted a binding offer to acquire a minority stake in Air Europa. 

The investment is valued at approximately €300 million, predominantly structured as a capital increase. 

The stake is expected to amount to 25 %‑27 % of Air Europa after financial and technical adjustments. 

Completion of the deal is subject to regulatory approvals and is anticipated within 6 to 12 months. 

According to some specialized sources, the process appears to be progressing positively, with advanced discussions between Turkish Airlines and Air Europa regarding the final terms of the investment.
