Boeing and Ontic expand distribution agreement – release

The announcement, made at MRO Europe, strengthens aftermarket support for commercial airliners, business jets and rotorcraft, reinforcing lifecycle support for long in service fleets and underscoring Ontic’s strategic role as a global leader in sustaining established and non-core OEM product lines – ensuring long-term support and availability for critical flight systems that enable safer and more efficient aircraft operations worldwide.

Why it matters

The expanded Radar distribution preserves a single, global channel for new spare parts across a broad installed base – including the Boeing 737 family, 777 and 757, as well as Airbus A320CL, A330 and A340, and a variety of regional aircraft.

Covering more than 1,000 unique part numbers and major line replaceable units (LRUs) – such as the receiver/transmitter, antenna, control panel, mounting tray, and flat plate antenna – the portfolio helps operators and MROs maintain reliable access to critical radar systems that detect hazardous weather, turbulence, and wind shear.

Primarily supported from Ontic’s UK sites, the program supports approximately 170 operators and repair stations globally.

Ontic’s role in sustaining radar capability

For Ontic, this agreement marks another step forward in its mission to sustain and extend the life of essential OEM technologies. The company’s proven expertise in radar MRO, parts manufacturing, and lifecycle management ensures operators continue to receive OEM-licensed quality with rapid turnaround and responsive global logistics.

Long-standing relationships with OEMs like Honeywell and Boeing, bring stability and continuity to operators navigating evolving maintenance requirements and supply chain pressures in avionics and safety-critical flight systems.

A collaborative approach

“This expanded agreement with Ontic strengthens our ability to support a wide range of platforms with high-quality radar spares and broader aftermarket capability,” said William Ampofo, Senior Vice President, Parts & Distribution and Supply Chain for Boeing Global Services. “Combining Ontic’s parts and MRO expertise with Boeing Distribution’s global logistics ensures operators and MROs have reliable access to critical parts and repairs.”

“We’re proud to deepen our collaboration with Boeing Distribution,” said Matthew Pritchard, VP Sales and Customer Engagement, Ontic. “This expanded distribution network reinforces Ontic’s commitment to sustaining vital radar systems in service across both commercial and defense aviation. By combining our OEM-licensed repair expertise with Boeing’s reach, we’re helping operators around the world maintain safe, efficient operations for decades to come.”
