Air France-KLM and SAS deepen commercial partnership to enhance connectivity between Scandinavia and the US

Air France-KLM and SAS (Scandinavian Airlines), today announced a significant expansion of their existing commercial partnership, aimed at further improving connectivity and enhancing the travel experience for passengers traveling between Scandinavia and the United States. This strategic step reinforces the commitment of both partners to deliver greater convenience and improved loyalty benefits to their respective customers.

With this latest step, Air France will add its code to SAS-operated non-stop transatlantic flights. This new codeshare agreement will provide customers with seamless access to a wide range of destinations across the United States via key Scandinavian hubs.

The new codeshare routes will include:

  • From Copenhagen International Airport (CPH) to: Atlanta (ATL), Boston (BOS), Chicago (ORD), Los Angeles (LAX), Miami (MIA), New York-Newark (EWR), New York-JFK (JFK), San Francisco (SFO), Seattle (SEA), and Washington, D.C. (IAD).
  • From Stockholm Arlanda Airport (ARN) to: New York-Newark (EWR) and Miami (MIA).
  • From Oslo Airport (OSL) to: New York-Newark (EWR), New York-JFK (JFK).

Reservations are now open on airfrance.com, klm.com, flysas.com and via all distribution channels for flights as from today.

This expanded partnership builds upon the success of the commercial cooperation between Air France-KLM and SAS initiated in 2024. In addition, last September saw SAS join the SkyTeam alliance, of which Air France-KLM is a founding member.

This momentum continued earlier this year when SAS added its code on several long-haul international flights operated by Air France and KLM on departure from their respective hubs at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam Schiphol airports, alongside reciprocal codeshares on the European network launched last year.

Passengers flying on these codeshare routes can earn miles, as well as XP (experience points) toward their Flying Blue status. SAS flights are eligible for Flying Blue reward tickets, subject to availability.

This continued deepening of this commercial partnership underscores the airlines’ shared vision to offer passengers more choice and flexibility.
