Skyports Drone Services and Quantum Systems form partnership

Skyports Drone Services and Quantum Systems form partnership, launching new drone surveillance service ‘Overwatch’

London, UK, 10th September 2025 – UK-foundedSkyports Drone Services (Skyports), the global leader in drone-enabled delivery and inspection, and Quantum Systems, the leader in AI-powered unmanned intelligence solutions, today announced a strategic partnership to launch ‘Overwatch’; a ready-to-deploy ISR-as-a-service offering for government and commercial customers.

Under the partnership, Quantum Systems supplies its advanced drone platforms and payloads, while Skyports provides the operational layer; regulatory approvals, flight operations, and mission delivery. Together, the companies enable customers to access mission results without the need to invest significant upfront capital.

The service is designed for high-value use cases including maritime surveillance, border control, linear asset inspection and pollution monitoring. Compared to traditional helicopter operations, drones provide intelligence faster, more cost-effectively and with a lower carbon footprint, while being deployable remotely and at short notice.

With current geopolitical tensions highlighting the critical importance of unmanned intelligence, European governments are recognising the importance of being able to gather surveillance data quickly. Overwatch offers a capex-light model that can be mobilised immediately; delivering capability where it is needed most.

Skyports has already begun operating Quantum Systems’ Vector AI drone, conducting test and training flights ahead of anticipated operations across the EMEA region. The launch of Overwatch also reinforces Quantum Systems’ commitment to the UK market, building on its local presence and partnerships to deliver ISR capabilities from and for the UK. The service will be offered globally, leveraging Skyports’ existing operational footprint across the US, Europe, Australia, Singapore and beyond.

Commenting on the partnership, Alex Brown, Director of Skyports Drone Services, said: “We’re seeing real demand from major organisations for drone surveillance — from environmental monitoring to asset inspection, security, and air quality. With Overwatch, Skyports can deliver these services as a turnkey solution, giving customers trusted intelligence when and where they need it. Confidence in aircraft performance is paramount, and Quantum Systems’ exceptional systems give us the reliability and capability to add real value to our operations and to our customers’ decision-making.”

Martin Karkour, Chief Revenue Officer, Quantum Systems said: “Quantum Systems’ partnership with Skyports strengthens our UK presence by leveraging UK capabilities and infrastructure to deliver superior unmanned intelligence solutions.”

Vito Tomasi, Managing Director UK, Quantum Systems, added: “As a Briton and Managing Director UK, I’m proud to see Quantum Systems commitment to the UK through this partnership with Skyports. Overwatch is a tangible example of how we are investing in the UK’s sovereign capabilities and building a future where unmanned intelligence is delivered from UK soil to the world.”
