SpaceX announced today that it is postponing the 10th test flight of Starship due to a ground system issue. The Super Heavy booster and Starship vehicle were already on the launch pad at Starbase (Texas), with fueling underway, when the decision was made to “pause the operation to identify and fix the problem” (source).
Elon Musk explained that the cause was a liquid oxygen leak in the ground systems, which led to the postponement (source).
New Launch Attempt Planned for Monday August 25th, 2025
According to official posts on X, a new launch attempt is scheduled for Monday, if the issue is resolved by then.
