Jacobs assumes the position of Vice President – People Department immediately and is responsible for all Human Resources and Employee Relations functions. She replaces Denise Lynn, who recently was named Vice President of Global Human Resources at American Airlines.
Jacobs joined American Eagle in 1997 as a crew scheduler. She also served as a crew scheduling supervisor, a crew scheduling department liaison to the Employee Relations and Flight Departments, and Counsel in Employee Relations. For the past two years, Jacobs was Vice President of Employee Relations, improving interactions with and negotiating agreements with The Air Line Pilots Association, Association of Flight Attendants and the Transport Workers Union.
“I am very pleased to announce Cathy’s selection to this critical position,” said Bowler. “Cathy’s career at Eagle is evidence of the opportunities for talented professionals to rise through the ranks from entry level to an officer of the Company.”
Jacobs is a graduate of the University of North Texas. She has also served on the Board of Directors for the Duncanville Chamber of Commerce and is a graduate of Leadership Southwest, a business leadership development program.

Stéphane Jacques, âgé de 44 ans, a rejoint EADS SOCATA en mai 2007 comme pilote d’essais, après avoir quitté l’Armée de l’Air au grade de lieutenant-colonel. Pilote militaire et ingénieur diplômé de l’Ecole de l’Air (promotion 1986), breveté pilote de chasse en 1987, il sert principalement sur Mirage F1 au sein d’unités de la base de Reims. En 1994 il effectue le stage de pilote d’essais et débute sa seconde carrière au Centre d’essais en vol de Cazaux l’année suivante, puis retourne à l’Ecole du personnel navigant d’essais et réception (EPNER) en 2000 pour devenir instructeur pilote d’essais, école dont il est nommé chef-pilote avion en 2005. Stéphane Jacques a piloté plus de 67 types d’avions, du jet de combat et appareils commerciaux aux avions légers, accumulant plus de 4000 heures de vol. Northrop Grumman Corporation has appointed John Jadik as vice president of Communications, Intelligence and Networking Solutions for its Electronics Systems sector's Land Forces Division, effective immediately.
In his new position, Jadik will have executive responsibility for all communication, intelligence and network programs within the Land Forces Division, including all programs associated with the Xetron and Denro business operations.
Jadik joined the company's Baltimore operations in 1987 and has held a number of leadership positions including director of Navy Programs, deputy business area manager for C4ISRT, director for the Aerial Common Sensor and director of Intelligence Programs. He most recently served as director of Communications, Intelligence & Networking Solutions.
Jadik earned his bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Pennsylvania, and a master's degree in electrical engineering and signal processing from Johns Hopkins University. Jahn is responsible for directing the company's financial strategy and processes in support of business growth and profitability goals. He also has responsibility for AMSEC's business management functions, such as contracts, estimating and pricing, accounting, financial reporting, planning and analysis, purchasing, rates and budgets, and program cost control.
Jahn joined AMSEC in 2002. He served as controller and has worked in positions of increasing responsibility in financial planning, capital budgeting, management of financial and accounting, and governmental accounting functions.
Jahn has more than 23 years of experience in finance, accounting, contracts, human resources and information technology. Before joining AMSEC, he served as vice president for finance and accounting for the communications engineering group at Titan Systems, and vice president for finance and administration for Advanced Communication Systems.
Jahn earned both a bachelor's degree in marketing and a master's of business administration from Old Dominion University. He resides in Virginia Beach, Va.

Dr. Andreas Jahnke takes over as head of aviation consulting firm
Dr. Andreas Jahnke has assumed the position of Managing Director of Lufthansa Consulting GmbH, effective from 1st January 2012.
He succeeds Werner Schuessler, who retired at the end of 2011.
Dr. Jahnke (45) brings to this position his profound expertise in logistics and consulting as well as his extensive experience in international
management and corporate development. In addition to strengthening customer relations, he is particularly interested in expanding these
activities within the Lufthansa Group.
After completing a degree in Natural Sciences in Germany, Andreas Jahnke earned a doctorate in the United States and Germany. In 1996
he began his professional career at The Boston Consulting Group, where, in the following years, he was responsible for a number of
international projects.
In 2000, Andreas Jahnke co-founded and successfully managed a company specializing in developing software for the logistics industry
as chairman.
At the end of 2003, Dr. Jahnke moved to the headquarters of an international retail group, where he set up a central unit responsible for the
global processing and procurement of logistics services. Subsequently, as general manager, he was in charge of the operational logistics
of the group’s largest foreign subsidiary in the Czech Republic.
In 2008, he was appointed Vice President Handling Frankfurt at Lufthansa Cargo with responsibility for the Lufthansa Cargo Center (LCC),
one of the largest logistics centers in the air cargo industry worldwide.

Effective July 1, 2007, the Defense Security Branch of the SAFRAN Group is now organized in two main companies, Sagem Défense Sécurité and Sagem Sécurité.
Jean-Paul Jainsky has been appointed Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Sagem Sécurité.
Sagem Défense Sécurité comprises two divisions:
- Sagem Avionique is responsible for avionics, navigation and guidance activities, as well as aircraft modernizations. The division is headed by Christian Jaeger.
- Sagem Optronique et Défense is responsible for air-land systems and drones, as well as optronics equipment and high-performance optics. It is headed by Jean-François Coutris
Sagem Défense Sécurité has two subsidiaries, Sagem Avionics Inc. and Vectronix AG.
The newly created Sagem Sécurité unit encompasses biometric identification systems, secure transaction terminals and smart cards.
Each of these two companies has a matrix organization that encompasses units focused on marketing and sales, program management and centers of excellence (design, industrial development and production).
This new organization enhances the ability of the SAFRAN Defense Security Branch to satisfy the needs of its commercial, government and military customers in each of its core businesses. The structure also optimizes the position of branch companies in forging industrial and commercial partnerships.

W. James (Jim) McNerney, Jr., is chairman of the board, president and chief executive officer of The Boeing Company, effective July 1, 2005. He has served as a member of the company's board since 2001.
McNerney, 58, oversees the strategic direction of the Chicago-based, $66.4 billion aerospace company. With more than 161,000 employees, Boeing is the largest manufacturer of commercial jetliners and military aircraft, with capabilities in rotorcraft, electronic and defense systems, missiles, satellites and advanced information and communications systems.
Previously, McNerney held the position as chairman of the board and CEO of 3M, a $20 billion global technology company with leading positions in electronics, telecommunications, industrial, consumer and office products, health care, safety and other businesses. He joined 3M in 2001 after 19 years at the General Electric Company.
McNerney joined General Electric in 1982. There, he held top executive positions including president and CEO of GE Aircraft Engines and GE Lighting; president of GE Asia-Pacific; president and CEO of GE Electrical Distribution and Control; executive vice president of GE Capital, one of the world's largest financial service companies; and president, GE Information Services.
Prior to joining GE, McNerney worked at Procter & Gamble and McKinsey & Co., Inc.
McNerney is a director of Procter & Gamble and serves as a trustee of Northwestern University. He is the chair of the US-China Business Council and The Business Council. He also serves on The Business Roundtable and the American Society of Corporate Executives. McNerney is a fellow at the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, a member of The Field Museum Board of Trustees in Chicago, and is on the Northwestern Memorial HealthCare Board, where he serves on the Finance Committee.
A native of Providence, R.I., McNerney earned a B.A. degree from Yale University in 1971 and an M.B.A. from Harvard University in 1975. McNerney is married and has five children. He enjoys skiing, golf and sailing.

Janey, who most recently led operational objectives for the company's federal-civil business, will oversee all sector communications and positioning activities, planning and implementing comprehensive programs to support new business opportunities, and managing employee and executive communications.
Janey has nearly 30 years of experience in the information technology industry. Most recently, she was vice president of operations for the Information Systems sector's Civil Systems Division, overseeing the division's financial, growth and operational objectives within the federal-civil, and state and local markets. Prior to that, she was president of civil programs for Harris Corporation. She previously spent nearly six years in various leadership roles with Northrop Grumman supporting the company's commercial, state and local business.
She is a member of the Potomac Officer's Club, Women in Technology and the GovMark Council. Janka will be based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and will act as the senior NCS executive in the Kingdom. He will represent NCS on all operational and business development issues in the Kingdom and will be responsible to develop close relationships with the senior leadership of the Saudi customer community, Saudi partners, U.S. Embassy and U.S. military for additional programmatic issues.

Prior to joining NCS, Janka distinguished himself as an international affairs expert during a 30-year career as a consultant and multiple assignments in the U.S. government including high-level tours in several
administrations on the National Security Council and at the Department of Defense.
In the government, he was the special assistant to Dr. Henry Kissinger on the NSC and was a member of President Nixon's delegation to Saudi Arabia in 1974. As deputy assistant secretary of defense for Near Eastern, African
and South Asian Affairs, he oversaw several major arms sales to Saudi Arabia including that of the F-15. He later served in the White House as special assistant to President Reagan and deputy press secretary for foreign affairs.
In the private sector, Janka led the Middle East and Africa political and trade advisory practice as executive vice president of Neill and Company, one of Washington's premier foreign policy lobbying and public affairs consulting firms. As an independent consultant, he has advised major U.S. and European companies, resulting in sales of their military and
commercial applications in Saudi Arabia.

Born in Avignon, France in 1949, Philippe Jarry is a graduate of La Sorbonne in Paris and holds degrees in Economics and Constitutional Law. After completing his studies in Paris, he continued his education in the United States where he attended Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., earning a Master’s degree in International Economics in 1975.
After serving one year in the French Air Force as an Intelligence Officer, Philippe Jarry
began his commercial aerospace career with the Snecma Group’s Commercial Engine Division in 1976. He was active in Snecma’s commercial relationship with General Electric, and then later promoting DC-8-70 and 737-300 sales in Europe. As a Sales Manager for CFM International, he aided in the successful launch of the 737-300 in Europe.
In 1981, Philippe Jarry began a career at Airbus. Initially joining Airbus Industrie as a Senior Market Analysis Executive, he was appointed to the role of Sales Director in 1984, later promoting the launch of the A330/A340 and the A319 and A321 in Europe. Once again, he
assisted in the launch of a new airplane program in the European market by winning three out of seven A330/A340 launch customers.
In 1994, Philippe Jarry was promoted to Vice
President of Marketing, responsible for providing product marketing, airline marketing,
market research and market forecasts in support of Airbus’ commercial objectives. During this time, he fought for the future of the A330-200 airplane.
In 1996, Philippe Jarry accepted his greatest challenge of all: contributing to Airbus’ longterm strategy of entering into the large aircraft market. As Vice President of Market
Development for the A3XX program, he dedicated five years demonstrating the market need and economic value of a 550-seat airplane to industry constituents including major airlines,
airport authorities, government, media, and the financial community.
Philippe Jarry’s dedication and commitment to the A3XX program contributed to the successful launch of the A380 in December of 2000. Shortly after the launch of the A380 and the formation of
the Airbus integrated company, Philippe Jarry turned to new opportunities as Vice President
Product Evaluation of the newly created Product Policy group. Since 2003, he holds the
position of SVP Product Policy.

Jensen brings more than 30 years of extensive application development, planning, distribution, platform and systems knowledge to the airline.
He will lead a team of approximately 500 professionals responsible for overseeing all Information Technology (IT)-related acquisitions and services. He will be based at the airline's corporate headquarters in Tempe and report to US Airways President Scott Kirby.

Jensen joins US Airways from Southlake, Texas-based Sabre Holdings Corporation where he served as senior vice president, Air Services. Jensen oversaw 450 employees and was responsible for the product development of all aspects of Air Service products used by Sabre's various business units. Prior to joining Sabre, he spent 16 years with American Airlines as managing director, Schedule Planning. Over time, Jensen gained experience in the areas of scheduling, planning and pricing. His initial airline experience began in 1977 with Southern Airways, Inc.

Jezierski Named NASA's Deputy Chief Of Staff
October 3, 2005:
NASA Administrator Michael Griffin today named Jeffrey T. Jezierski, deputy chief of staff for the agency. This new role is in addition to his duties as White House liaison.
"I am thrilled to be able to announce this promotion for Mr. Jezierski," said NASA Administrator Michael Griffin. "No one at NASA has been more dedicated than J.T. to the task of re-engaging the agency in the business of exploration. His work as NASA's White House Liaison has been of tremendous value to me personally, and I welcome the opportunity to add a new level of responsibility to his portfolio."
Jezierski was named NASA's White House liaison in July, 2003. He is responsible for the placement and interaction of the presidential appointees at NASA. He assisted the coordination of the transition to Administrator Griffin from Administrator Sean O'Keefe. He also coordinates events and communications with the White House and other agencies within the Executive Branch.
Prior to coming to NASA, Jezierski served as a deputy associate director in the Office of Presidential Personnel at the White House from May 2001 to July 2003. He previously served as publications director at the Institute for American Values in New York City and as a researcher at the Republican National Committee.
He graduated from Wheeling-Jesuit University, Wheeling, W.Va. with a bachelor's in liberal arts and a master's in public policy from Regent University, Virginia Beach, Va.

In May 2007, Jeff Johnson was appointed Vice President for Integrated Defense Systems (IDS) Business Development for the Middle East & Africa region. In this capacity, he oversees sales, marketing and business development activities in the business areas of Precision Engagement & Mobility Systems, Network & Space Systems, Support Systems, and Advanced Systems.
Johnson's previous leadership positions within IDS Business Development include serving as vice president for the Middle East region and as vice president for the Americas & Africa region. Johnson joined the core Business Development staff in 2000 as regional manager for Mediterranean Business Development. In this function, he led sales and business development activities in Greece, Turkey, Spain, Portugal and Italy, and executed major sales campaigns for Apache, 767 Tanker, C-130 Avionics Modernization Program, Joint Direct Attack Munition and Harpoon.
Johnson joined the company in 1982 and has served as Business Development manager for Weapons Programs, as Advanced Development manager for the Harpoon/Standoff Land Attack Missile program, and as Harpoon program manager for Australia. Prior to those assignments, Johnson worked in Design Engineering,
Electronics Design and Manufacturing, System Engineering, Flight Test Engineering and Program Management.
Johnson has business development experience in more than 40 countries, with demonstrated expertise in nurturing excellent customer relations around the world. He has led major sales and marketing efforts to introduce three major product developments to market, and pioneered several strategic teaming agreements with global industry. His expertise includes weapons integration on 15 different aircraft types, ships and submarines. Johnson received a patent in 1996, with a licensing agreement in 1998.
Johnson holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Iowa State University and an Executive Master International Business degree from St. Louis University. His previous work experience includes General Motors and Rockwell Collins. A former Eagle Scout, he remains active in youth development.

Lockheed Martin named Nettie R. Johnson as corporate vice president of worldwide media relations, effective April 27. In this role, Johnson will serve as chief spokesperson for the corporation and direct all media relations activities.

The Boeing Company [NYSE: BA] has named Anthony R. "Tony" Jones vice president of Training Systems and Services, a division of Boeing Integrated Defense Systems' Support Systems business.
Based in St. Louis, Jones reports to Support Systems President Pat Finneran. Jones' responsibilities include leadership, growth and execution of Boeing military training programs, including fixed-wing and rotorcraft trainers and systems, mission planning services, training support and instructional training systems.
Jones joins Boeing after a distinguished career in the U.S. Army, where he achieved the rank of Lieutenant General. He most recently served as deputy commanding general and chief of staff for the U.S. Army's Training and Doctrine Command, Fort Monroe, Va., since 2003. There he was a critical senior leader in ensuring the Army's success in accessing and training soldiers, developing future leaders at all echelons and developing capabilities for the future force. Prior to that, he was chief of staff at Headquarters, U.S. Army, Europe and Seventh Army since 2001, and commandant of the Army Aviation Warfighting Center from 1998 to 2001.
"The mission of our training organization is to help the military prepare today's men and women in uniform for the uncertainties of combat," Finneran said. Mary Ellen Jones has been named president of the Engine Alliance, a 50/50 joint venture of General Electric and Pratt & Whitney, a division of United Technologies Corp.
Jones will succeed Jim Moravecek who will return to Pratt & Whitney in a new leadership position.
Jones comes to the Engine Alliance from Pratt & Whitney where she most recently led Commercial Engines & Global Services Marketing. Prior to this role, she served at the Engine Alliance as head of Sales & Marketing.
“I am pleased to have the opportunity to lead the Engine Alliance during an exciting time when the GP7200 is doing so well in service, and we have additional A380 aircraft with GP7200 engines entering service,” Jones said. “It is also an honor to succeed Jim Moravecek, whose leadership has helped this joint venture become even more successful.”

Jones assumes overall leadership responsibility for Boeing’s South Carolina facilities and operations. Boeing South Carolina fabricates, assembles and installs systems for the aft fuselage sections of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner, and joins and integrates 787 mid-body fuselage sections from other structural partners. Boeing also will perform final assembly and delivery of 787s from South Carolina to customers around the world.
Jones replaces Tim Coyle, who will lead operations at Boeing’s Aviation Technical Services (ATS) facility in Everett, Wash. Coyle’s new team will be responsible for modifications and completion of early-production 787 airplanes.
A 31-year Boeing employee, Jones most recently served as vice president of the Everett Delivery Center, overseeing Airplane-on-Ground, Paint, Pre-Flight and Delivery operations for the Boeing widebody models (747, 767, 777 and 787) that are assembled in Everett, Wash. He was named to that assignment in October 2003.
In March 2008, Jones began a one-year assignment as vice president of Final Assembly and Change Incorporation for the 787, leading the team responsible for assembling the Dreamliner at the Everett factory, and establishing the plans and processes for incorporating design changes, refurbishing the flight-test airplanes and delivering completed 787s to customers. General Electric Chairman and CEO Jeff Immelt announced today the appointment of David Joyce as president and CEO of GE Aviation, a leading maker of jet engines and integrated digital, electric power and mechanical systems for aircraft.
Joyce, 51, has been vice president of commercial engines for GE Aviation since 2003 and has been responsible for all commercial jet engine products and global support. He is a 28-year veteran of GE's aviation business.
"David is one of the best aviation minds in the world," Immelt said. "He knows the technology, he knows the people and issues in the industry and he knows what customers need. David has broad experience across the business, from engineering and product design to customer service, giving him keen insight into how to continue Aviation's global growth."
In a previous role as general manager of the small commercial engine operation, Joyce led GE's successful bid to power China's ARJ21 regional jet. In addition, he oversaw the certification program for the CF34-8 engine for the Bombardier CRJ900 and the Embraer E170/175 aircraft programs.
Joyce joined GE in 1980 as a product engineer and spent 15 years in design and development of GE's commercial and military engines. He also held positions in customer and product support and in quality as a Six Sigma Black Belt.
He earned both bachelor's of science and master's degrees in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University and holds a master's in business finance from Xavier University.

Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company announced today that it has named Mathew “Mat” J. Joyce vice president and program manager for Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD).
“Lockheed Martin is committed to helping our Missile Defense Agency customer meet its objectives for GMD Development and Sustainment,” said Joanne M. Maguire, executive vice president, Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company. “Mat Joyce brings the requisite experience and track record necessary to assume the on-going GMD operations and sustainment challenges as well as future development and production requirements.”
“To this new position, Mat brings a proven track record in leading outstanding missile defense and strategic weapon system programs,” said retired Major Gen. John W. Holly, vice president, Missile Defense Systems, Lockheed Martin Space Systems, to whom Joyce now reports. “Mat contributes extraordinary expertise in all aspects of development, production, testing, and operations and sustainment as we prepare to bid for the Missile Defense Agency’s GMD Development and Sustainment Contract. Joyce’s experience in missile defense and strategic weapons systems includes program management, engineering management, bid and proposal management, strategic planning and supplier management. Most recently, he was Lockheed Martin’s vice president and program manager for the missile element of the Missile Defense Agency’s Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) system, which has achieved 100-percent mission success in six intercept flight tests since 2005. In addition, he previously served as chief systems engineer for the THAAD missile. Joyce also has held key Lockheed Martin leadership positions for the U.S. Navy’s Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program, which has achieved 130 successful consecutive flight tests of the Trident II D5 missile since 1989. His FBM assignments included program manager for the FBM Production and Deployed System Support Contract, leading missile production and support across four Navy sites, and resident director at Strategic Weapons Facility Atlantic in Kings Bay, Ga., leading missile assembly, testing and delivery, as well as operations and sustainment services. Cessna Aircraft Company, a Textron Inc. company, recently announced the appointment of Martin Jurich as general manager of its Wichita Citation Service Center.
Jurich moved to the Wichita facility the largest of Cessna's company-owned service centers after holding the same position at the Toledo Citation Service Center. He began his career in 1980 as a Cessna maintenance technician in Wichita. He is a graduate of Colorado Aero Tech in Broomfield, Colo. Jurich has an A&P license and is a certified Textron Six Sigma Green Belt.
